The Vehicle Buy Back program is BACK! The Bureau of Automotive Repair's Consumer Assistance Program is once again offering the CA Vehicle Retirement Program.

This program buys high-polluting vehicles from motorists. To qualify for the program your vehicle must fail its biennial smog check. The program will offer $1000 per vehicle as long as funds are available.

You must first apply to CAP and obtain approval prior to receiving payment from a CAP-authorized dismantler. Contact the California State Bureau of Automotive Repairs at 1.800.952.5210 to have an application mailed out to you today.
